Flannel Rock is a five-piece grunge band rooted in Palm Springs, California, united by a shared love for the raw, unfiltered sound of the 1990s. Each member brings a distinct influence and energy — Brett on lead guitar, Jason on drums, Aaron on bass, Kevin on rhythm guitar, and CJ on vocals — blending decades of experience and passion into a sound that’s both nostalgic and alive. Together, we channel the spirit of grunge’s golden era with a desert-born edge that’s all our own.
CJ
CJ’s vocal style blends rock, the grit of metal, and the raw emotion of 90s grunge into one unmistakable voice. Drawing from a wide spectrum of influences, he adds a melodic edge and dynamic intensity that cuts through the band’s heavy tones, giving Flannel Rock its signature punch and atmosphere.
Brett
Though a rookie in the desert, Brett is a 30 year veteran of stages in the greater Bay Area, lending his guitar and voice to a diverse series of bands, from top forty cover to all original metal. He continues to chase the buzz only found wielding a loud guitar in front of a louder crowd.
Aaron
For over a decade, Aaron has been holding down the low-end in the gritty, no-frills world of garage rock and grunge. A true believer in the raw power of music, AayAyRawn cut his teeth in dive bars, side gigs, and late-night jam sessions, where the energy of the crowd always fueled the fire.
Jason
The timekeeper of Flannel Rock expresses himself through a genre of music that not only influenced a large portion of his rhythmic style, but through endless hours of play, pause and rewind, guys like Matt Cameron and Sean Kinney taught Jason how to play the drums.
Kevin
Kevin’s musical journey began courtesy of two older brothers in the late 1970’s listening to albums from Black Sabbath to Pink Floyd. After the 80’s hair bands came and went, the 90’s were a welcome departure and a return to rock. The songs of this generation soon became the most influential songs to last the next 30 years.
